The Olenya Lodge invites you to an exclusive Atlantic salmon fishing experience!
Summer fishing on the Kola Peninsula is one of the most unforgettable and at the same time relaxing types of recreation in the North.
The Kola River near Murmansk has long been known to all fly fishing enthusiasts for its unique runs of large multi winter Atlantic salmon. Every year, our guests catch salmon weighing over 40 pounds, and the amount of fish entering the river will make it possible for an experienced angler catch 20 plus pound fish any fishing day!
The Olenya Lodge is located on the legendary Kola River, which is one of the three best rivers in the Russian northern region in terms of the numbers of salmon run and compares favourably with other rivers due to stable water conditions, ease of access and size of fish caught.
Our section of the Kola River is carefully guarded and protected and only guests of our Lodge are allowed to fish it. During the week we rotate guests around our beats which fish well in all conditions, which constantly change due to the nature of unregulated flow of our river.
For those who are just starting their Atlantic fishing journey or decided to travel light, our Lodge provides all the necessary quality fishing gear and equipment.
Rest assured, our experienced stuff will be always on hand to assist you during your stay, peace of mind will not go away from you.
Summer flyfishing: June 1 to September 15
Olenya Lodge Salmon fishing takes place on a special stretch of 28 kilometers. Our section of the river, is divided into 8 beats which can be fished wading and from the boat.
In addition to Kola river stretch, we have the opportunity to fish Kola river tributaries – rivers Kitsa and Bear, which on their own have a number of well defined Atlantic salmon holding pools.
We guard and protect our fishing area, so you can be assured that during your stay you will not be disturbed by other fishermen.
Along with salmon our guests often catch Brown trout (Salmo trutta) and large Whitefish (Coregonus Lavaretus).
